Navigation Course is 100% field-based you learn by doing, in real terrain, not in a classroom. Nepal is one of the world’s best natural classrooms for navigation training, offering diverse terrain including mountains, hills, forests, and remote trails that challenge and develop true skillsNavigation Course takes place in the Kathmandu Valley’s mountain and forest terrain, with compact geography that allows access to multiple environments within short distances. You don’t just learn navigation you experience it in one of the most dynamic landscapes on Earth. All training is conducted in small groups of 12–15 participants, with step-by-step skill progression and a focus on thinking, not memorizing. Navigation Course offers three distinct programs designed for all levels. The Basic Navigation Course (2 Days, Beginner to Intermediate) builds strong foundations you’ll learn map reading and terrain understanding, contour lines and elevation, compass basics and direction control, distance and time estimation, and basic route planning. By the end, you’ll navigate independently in daylight, use map and compass with confidence, and understand terrain clearly. The Advanced Navigation and Orienteering Course (5 Days, Intermediate to Professional) takes you deeper advanced map interpretation and precision bearings, dead reckoning, resection, triangulation, route planning in complex terrain, risk assessment, navigation in low visibility (fog, forest, night), error detection and correction, and team coordination under pressure.
